Day two saw our KSE campers and volunteers learning more about Texada's animals, from the stickleback fish and painted turtles of Texada's lakes to how sea life behaves in wind and waves.
Everyone got their t-shirts today, and the kids drew their own rendition of their favourite animals as decoration on their shirts. It was a fun and colourful art project!
And we had another beautiful day for exploring, learning and fun!

Stickleback and painted turtle expert Tim Atwood taught about the unique aspects of these two species. And everyone took a trip to Emily Lake (locals call it Turtle Lake) to see the natural setting for these and many other kinds of creatures.
