What a grand final day we had at the 2011 Texada KSE Daycamp! We went to Shelter Point Park for lots of fun, including craft projects, journaling, face painting and ice cream. Then back to the Community Hall for more fun and lunch with friends.
The efforts of so many people made this year's camp a great success. We had recognition for everyone who participated -- from campers and team leaders to activity leaders and drivers, from planners and photographers to kitchen helpers and crafters. Best of all -- everyone learned and had fun, too!
Volunteers Dorianna Kiland, Susan Wood and Mary Loepke did some very creative face painting to transform campers into their favourite animals. Even volunteer Faren Wolfe (far right) got into the face-painting spirit!
After a declicious lunch with the Texada Seniors Council and other guests, we did the final performance of our rhythm and animal dances that we've been working on this week. Lots of fun grooving with nature!
